Whether the modern man wants to believe it or not, he cannot change the simple fact that this (once) great American nation was founded on a moral and spiritual compass. Even those who did not profess to be Christians - and some of whom even proclaimed themselves anything but - agreed that Christianity namely and morality in general were the saving grace of such a government as they wished to build. The founding fathers of the "greatest nation on earth" believed that self-annihilation of a country would come about when there were no more morals to govern us by.

Take a look at their words. Still don't believe it? Then let everyone know you are willfully ignorant and stop pretending to argue from a factual position.

The Storm is Rising

A few months ago, I was depressed at how few people saw the tyranny taking place right under our noses. Now, every day I see a new blog or report or listen to a radio station declaring that enough is enough and freedom shall not be taken from them. Let the fires burn. War is coming to this land, whether that be literal or figurative. The tighter you squeeze your fist, the more you lose out of it.

No more, America. Rise up to the task at hand. Let tyranny know that it will not win. Freedom is at hand and we will take it. It is our human and constitutional right.

Memorial Day

I don't make much of Memorial Day and haven't in years...I am constantly reminded of everything our soldiers do and have done for us in the history of our country.

Today, however, I was reminded of the day's portent and angered by the reminder: Obama Observes Memorial Day at Arlington Cemetery.

This paragraph is what frustrated me: "Last week, a group of about 60 professors petitioned the White House, asking the first black U.S. president to break tradition and not memorialize military members from the Confederacy, the group of Southern states that supported slavery."

Are you kidding me? Despite modern intrepretation and even despite my own education on the subject of the Civil War, the Confederates were heroes. They weren't fighting for slavery. (Even Lincoln was not fighting against slavery, but merely trying to force the South from seceding.) They fought against an oppressive, freedom-stealing governnment. They nobly gave everything they had for that cause and, when they lost, the rest of the country took whatever was left. The Confederates lost their lives, they lost their freedom, and all they received in return was a broken and barren land. Of course they should be remembered and honored.

Those "professors" should be ashamed of themselves, not only for keeping a lie alive but also for asking the president to make an emotional decision based on race.

Remember the Confederates with pride this Memorial Day. Remember the soldiers who are right now giving up their families and lives to protect your freedom to celebrate a holiday at all.

Illegal Violation of the Second Amendment

The Florida legislature has violated the Second Amendment by raiding the concealed weapons and firearm licensing trust fund. They took $6 million of the almost $8 million available from the Division of Licensing Concealed Weapons and Firearm Trust Fund that is intended, by law, to be used solely for administering the concealed weapons and firearms licensing program; they are using this stolen money not for education, health care, or any other important issues, but to build their own "working capital" fund that has already accrued $1.8 billion dollars. Obviously afraid that the Governor would veto these trust fund raids, proviso language was inserted in the bill in a clear attempt to intimidate the Governor, stating that if any portion of the money swept from this and other trust funds does not become law (meaning it is vetoed), that portion of the money shall be deducted from the EDUCATION BUDGET.

Still think this is somehow not a big deal? EVERY CENT IN THE CONCEALED WEAPONS TRUST FUND CAME FROM GUN OWNERS. Money to administer and run the concealed weapons and firearms licensing program has never come from general revenue, or any other state fund or revenue source or the government at large in any way. The taking of these gun owner user fees is an unauthorized tax on the exercise of the Second Amendment.

If you think only us stupid Americans with our racism and arrogance are upset over Michael Savage's banning, take a look at this prominent British journalist's take on the situation: Not All Brits Are Whiny Liberals.

Go ahead. Read it. And tell me how you can call yourself an American or even a decent human being if you honestly agree with Jacqui Smith. This is wrong in so many ways but it is just another sign of the idiocy of the world and how badly civilization needs a reality check.

The world and most of the people in it royally suck.

There’s a movement afoot to reassert state sovereignty and stop the uncontrolled expansion of federal government power. Almost half of the state legislatures are considering or have representatives preparing to introduce resolutions which reassert the principles of the 9th and 10th Amendments to the Constitution and the idea that federal power is strictly limited to specific areas detailed in the Constitution and that all other governmental authority rests with the states. 30 states are working on such resolutions.

It's about time. The lines are being drawn. Which side will you be on?

Rise of the Tea Parties

While the article seems biased against the idea to me, I love that it's being reported at all. Taxes today are ridiculous, unwarranted, and some are unconstitutional. It's about time people started revolting against the injustice of government.

At the end of the article, this caught my eye:

Leslie Marshall, a nationally syndicated radio host, dismissed the tea party protests. She said the mainstream media are not covering them because they're not worthy of coverage.

"It's not sexy. It doesn't bleed," she told FOX News, suggesting the protesters were doing the American Revolutionary a disservice by operating under the "tea party" name.

What the hell. A revolt against unfair taxation is not news-worthy but this is? Not only does this reason defy the Journalist Code of Ethics, which states that "public enlightenment is the forerunner of justice and the foundation of democracy. The duty of the journalist is to further those ends by seeking truth and providing a fair and comprehensive account of events and issues" but it's just ignorant to justify the reporting of news on whether it is sensational or not. Are you deranged or just stupid, Marshall?

"You have to look at our history. The reason these people revolted is they didn't want to pay taxes that were not presented by elected officials," she said. "Last time I checked, Obama's not taxing you to death -- he is spending to stimulate the economy and he is an elected official."

Apparently, you are both. First of all, for the unbiased observer of history, it is more than apparent that the American colonists were not just revolting against "taxation without representation" but that they were fighting against the tyranny and injustice of government itself, an issue so much larger than you claim. Your words are a disservice to history.

Secondly, by your own words, you admit that Obama is spending...he's spending a hell of a lot that we don't have and it isn't doing a thing for the economy. Where do you think the money for that spending comes from? Oh, thats right: taxation. We're being overly taxed now and it will only get worse the more Obama throws to the wind.

These tea parties are in the true spirit of the original colonists. Not only do we have every right to fight injustice, that battle has every right to be represented in every news outlet in the country. I applaud those in the tea parties and encourage everyone to seriously consider what they are fighting for.
